No Accidental App Switching
How to make your Android phone "baby safe"
App pinning is a built-in security feature that locks your phone to a single app.
It prevents notifications from appearing and blocks opening other apps or settings.
Once it's enabled, you can pin Baby Dots in place from the Recent Apps screen.
Enable App Pinning
Steps can vary slightly depending on your phone's manufacturer (Samsung, Google Pixel, etc.), but the general path is:
Open your phone's Settings app.
Tap Security (or Security & Privacy / Biometrics and Security).
Select More security settings (or Advanced / Other security settings).
Tap App pinning (sometimes called Pin windows) and toggle it on.
Turn on the option to require your PIN, pattern, or password before unpinning.
Use App Pinning
Once enabled, you can lock any app into place:
Open the app you want to lock.
Open your Overview / Recent Apps screen — swipe up from the bottom and hold, or tap the square button at the bottom.
Tap the app's icon at the top of its preview window.
Tap Pin (or Pin this app). The phone is now locked to Baby Dots.
Exit (Unpin)
To unlock the phone and return to normal use, press and hold the Back and Home buttons at the same time — or swipe up and hold if you use gesture navigation. Enter your lock screen PIN or fingerprint to finish.
